Geo-thermal Cooling
BIO-COOLED SHOP FLOOR: Taking a cue from The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), T.P. Baranwal and daughter Anupama set out on a green mission in 2005. The ex-Air Force officer wanted to manufacture transformers and inductors in an economical and fresh-air environment. Drawing on his engineering background, Baranwal established a workplace that uses an alternative cooling system called Geo-thermal Cooling.
Pulse Magnetic and Power Electronics have a five-storey building with no air conditioners but very cool interiors. Baranwal calls it "Simple Science": natural cooling in the factory is an effective heat exchange with the earth, says Anupama, Director of the company.
Factory Development
Our factory has been developed with a long-term vision of creating a resource-efficient and environmentally responsible manufacturing facility. The infrastructure, equipment and processes are continuously upgraded to improve energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact and support a healthier and safer workplace for our team.
We have implemented renewable energy, natural cooling and water conservation systems, along with improved lighting, ventilation, material handling and production layouts. These initiatives help us optimize resource usage, lower our ecological footprint and create a cleaner, more comfortable working environment for our employees.

Our Green Initiatives
Solar Energy Utilization
Using solar energy to power lighting and fan loads of the factory.
Energy Efficient Lighting
CFL lights were replaced with LED lights in 2005 to improve energy efficiency and reduce power consumption.
Geo-thermal Cooling
Natural cooling uses heat exchange with the earth for a cooler, fresher work environment.
Water Harvesting System
A dedicated water harvesting system helps conserve water and support sustainability.
